It's funny how my most popular "piece" on my profile is by far a stupid Harry Potter strip. Artistically, I think it's one of the lamest pieces on here, but I still get favorites and comments constantly for it, yet my best pieces (at least the ones I think are best) get jack shit.

WTF? For serious, W T F ? ? ?

Woo hoo! I gots an asterisk!

OK. So, I haven't done a new comic strip in a very, very long time. And from the looks of it, it won't be coming back.

Simply put, I haven't actually had fun drawing it for years. I've tried to force myself to enjoy it, but apart from one or two strips, they haven't had the same feeling that they did when I started the strip all those years ago. And when something that's given you so much joy becomes a chore, it's time to hang it up.

Don't get me wrong- I'll still do a strip or two here and there, but 18-2-L will no longer be a regular strip. I might just wrap up this storyline and that's that. I do plan on making one or two more storyline comics, one being a massive one that I've been plotting since the comic's inception whilst bored in World History one day.

I'm also working on three different comics - one being a sort of sci-fi noir gig, one involving zombies, and one that will make fun of RPGs and Anime. More to come on these projects when I get something I like. The furthest along is the zombie one. Ths far, it's kind of like Shaun of the Dead mixed with Silent Hill (think laugh-out-loud funny with scare-you-til-you-shit-your-pants scary) with the eventual bleakness of the Fallout series. I'll probably post some character and basic story elements in the coming months.

Anyway, thanks for reading 18-2-L. It was fun while it lasted. Like I said, it won't be permanently going away, but it won't be my main gig.

Peace,

-D

And ANOTHER thing...

It's a pain in the ass that there isn't a "delete all" option anymore for comments and friends' deviations. I seriously just spent the last fifteen goddamn minutes just deleting stuff. It's so fucking impractical!

Got my scanner to work again.

Past 1,000 page views. BOO. YAH.

I'll be starting school in a week and a half. In terms of artsy classes, I'm taking Drawing II (we'll now be drawing... IN COLOR :llama: ) and Intro to Multimedia (which will promise to be interesting). So there will be a huge influx of actual art coming from me apart from my comic.

Got a PSP. It's pretty badass. I like how it can connect to my PS-3 and how I can transfer data back and forth. The God of War game on it is pretty cool. There's also a Silent Hill game for it that's awesome. So far though, I'm really into the Final Fantasy VII game on it, Crisis Core. Oh, and the game LocoRoco is like a shroom trip. I only have a demo for it (and that's probably all I need), but it makes me happy.

I've found that in the past two weeks that I'd rather watch SpongeBob Squarepants than the fucking news. For the first time in years, I'd rather be dumb to the world and laugh at a gay sponge and his retarded friend. I don't know how long this will last, but I don't care. 'Sides, SpongeBob can sometimes be funny. I like Invader Zim a hell of a lot better (god I wish it was still on the air!), but SpongeBob has it's moments.

Y'arp. Anyway, gotta get back to work. :penguin:

1: Is anyone else pissed off at the way DA's now set up? I could barely get the older version to do what I want! Now they completely change it? Bastards.

2: My scanner's currently on a few hundred CCs of Fukitol, and I don't know if I'll be able to submit next week's installment of 18 to Life. Seriously, Photoshop doesn't recognize the damned thing anymore.

3: I'm almost at 1,000 page views. Boo-yah.
